Funded Organizations
Quick Financial Report
2000/2001
We awarded $63,000, divided fairly evenly between 21 organizations, over the three main geographical locations of San Francisco Bay area, Denver and Chicago. City at Peace is in Los Angeles and Champaign County Health Care Consumers is 150 miles south of Chicago. We'll try to open up more geographically in 2002. Our overhead was about $20,000 - travel costs, lawyers, accountants, admin assistant Lela, and webmaven Barbara.
Funded Organizations
Except for two instances we only funded groups with budgets below $500,000. For 2002 that budget size restriction will not be compromised. Here's a hint--you COULD have a project within your organization that we fund...
Note that 9 of the 15 receiving grants in 2001 were repeats from 2000, even though we don't have a multi-year funding policy. Chicago and SF Bay area orgs all received $3K each - see below for exact amounts in Denver.
